Spoiled Canadians.
The UFC 154: "St. Pierre vs. Condit" event scheduled for Sat., Nov. 17, 2012, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, has added a lightweight showdown pitting natives Sam Stout vs. John Makdessi.
TSN.ca brought word of the pending match-up earlier today.
Stout is looking to move forward with his career after finally tying up the loose end in his friendly rivalry with Spencer Fisher that lasted many years and spanned three fights, two of which were won by "Hands of Stone." That includes the last one, a unanimous decision victory back in June at UFC on FX 3.
That win gave Stout three in his last four. Can he make it four of five against Makdessi?
Standing in the way is a very pissed off "Bull" who is staring down the barrel of three consecutive losses. Because we can be reasonably sure the Canadian has no intention of standing in front of the firing squad, we can count on a big battle in the "Great White North."
Or at least we hope.
UFC 154 will be headlined by UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre, who returns from kneehab to put his 170-pound title on the line against Interim champ Carlos Condit. In addition, Martin Kampmann will try to earn his crack at the crown against fellow contender Johny Hendricks.
