"Jay's a tough cat. He may not be as well known as a guy like Koscheck, but he's dangerous. I think he's probably more dangerous, he's hungry to get back in there, especially to get back in the UFC too. So he's gonna come in strong too, I expect a tough fight for sure. Again, I gotta make a statement and prove I'm a top contender again. So, I'm ready."
-- Jake Ellenberger talks to MMA Fight Corner and does his best to build up Jay Hieron, who he will take on at UFC on FX 5 on Oct. 13, 2012, in Minnesota, as an even bigger challenge than Josh Koscheck, who he was supposed to take on before "Kos" suffered an injury and was forced to pull out. Take nothing away from Hieron, the dude is a gamer, but he's not the right guy to suit Ellenberger's purpose for the time being, which is to find the quickest way back into contention in the welterweight division. "The Juggernaut" is coming off a devastating second round knee tap knockout loss to Martin Kampmann back in June, his first defeat in seven fights. That should mean a shorter trip back to the top of the heap but is Hieron the guy to get him there? And is anyone buying Ellenberger trying to sell "The Thoroughbred" as even more dangerous than Koscheck? Anyone at all?
