The bantamweights were in action on the main card of UFC on FUEL TV 5: "Struve vs. Miocic" today (Sept. 29, 2012) in Nottingham, England, and the match-up promised fireworks for the paying customers at the Capital FM Arena across the pond.
Brad Pickett was back in front of his fellow countrymen -- receiving a hero's welcome, too -- hoping to land that "one punch" to knock out his opponent, the 33-year-old Canadian "Tiger," Yves Jabouin.
He did exactly that.
Pickett was launching the left hand early but Jabouin answered by winging a punch of his own with his fingers extended.
Eye poke!
The action wasn't stopped for long and was never in any danger of being finished for good. Once they got back after it, the bantamweight brawlers got back to banging it out.
Eventually, Pickett unloaded a monster right uppercut that caught Jabouin clean across the chin and knocked him out cold.
What a way to live up to your nickname.
