Video: Chael Sonnen is 'Always Sunny in Philadelphia' on Oct. 11 on FX

With the UFC calling FX home, expect to see a few familiar faces appear on some of the cable television network's other programming. On Oct. 11, former middleweight contender Chael Sonnen stops by "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."

What does former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight number one contender Chael Sonnen have in common with that kid from the Sixth Sense, a rapper who pimped your ride and the incomparable Ford Fairlane?

They're all guest starring on the FX channel's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" on Oct. 11 at 10 p.m. ET.

Sonnen plays the role of "Dennis" alongside Haley Joel Osmont as "Mac," Xzibit as "Dee" and Andrew Dice Clay as "Frank." Having never watched the show, I'm not sure what any of that means, but it certainly sounds entertaining.

The years, however, do not appear to have been kind to the Diceman.

Anyway, when the "American Gangster" is not trying to win himself an Emmy, he'll be trying to win a fight against Forrest Griffin. He rematches the original "Ultimate Fighter" at the UFC 155 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Las Vegas, Nevada on Dec. 29, 2012.

More on that fight here.
