Joey Beltran vs. Anthony Perosh booked for TUF 'Smashes' Finale on Dec. 15

Ready for a light heavyweight war? "The Mexicutioner" looks to take out "The Hippo" in front of a hometown crowd "Down Under" at UFC on FX 6 this December.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has added a light heavyweight match-up to its upcoming UFC on FX 6 fight card, currently scheduled for Dec. 15, 2012 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Australia.

Former heavyweight slugger Joey Beltran will continue his quest for success as a 205 pounder when he trades leather with hometown hero Anthony Perosh as part of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) "Smashes" Finale, according to a recent report from the Daily Telegraph.

Beltran (14-8) made his return to the Octagon after shedding some skin on the regional circuit but was picked apart by James Te Huna in an otherwise spirited affair at the UFC on FUEL TV 4 event back in July. The loss to the power-punching Aussie was his third straight under the ZUFFA banner.

A loss to Perosh would be his fourth and possibly his last.

"The Hippo" (13-7) returned to the Octagon in early 2010 as a late replacement against Mirko Filipovic. "Cro Cop" promptly pounded him out but after Perosh returned to light heavyweight, he's managed to win three of four, including submission wins over Tom Blackledge and Cyrille Diabate.

Don't be surprised to see him go for the ground against the leather-slinging "Mexicutioner."

UFC on FX 6 will feature a middleweight headliner pitting hometown hero Hector Lombard against Brazilian bone cruncher Rousimar Palhares. In addition, TUF "Smashes" season will conclude its televised run with finales in both the lightweight and welterweight divisions.
