"Will I be disappointed if it's a guy outside the UFC? Then you lose the whole 'UFC guy coming over to Strikeforce." That's kinda one of the bigger angles. That's all I heard when I was doing the media down there. I think it needs to be a guy from the UFC coming over so they can play up the whole Strikeforce/UFC angle. It has to be one of the guys from here, though, I think."
When Frank Mir dropped out of his upcoming Strikeforce main event against Daniel Cormier due to an injury suffered in training, the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Champion was left hung out to dry. With no replacement opponent announced yet and time running out, Cormier made it known (via MMA Fighting) that he still wants an opponent from the UFC to keep the intriguing storyline alive. Fabricio Werdum has already stated that he'd be willing to step up if the UFC asked him. Would you like to see Cormier against a current UFC heavyweight or does it not matter?
