Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight titleholder Jon Jones successfully defended his 205-pound strap in the main event of the UFC 152 pay-per-view (PPV) event last Saturday night (Sept. 22, 2012) at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
But he paid a hefty price for his "W" in "Hogtown."
That's because Vitor Belfort yanked and cranked his way to a painful first-round armbar submission attempt, one that was oh-so-close to crowning a new division kingpin. Ultimately, "Bones" was able to break the hold and turn the tides later in the fight, locking up an arm of his own and forcing the tap.
Jiu-jitsu at its finest.
Now, Ryron and Rener Gracie enlist the help of television star (and longtime grappling practitioner) Ed O'Neil to further break down the UFC 152 main event submissions, including why "The Phenom" was unable to seal the deal. You can see highlights of the actual fight by clicking here.
