"Cub [Swanson] is very experienced, has fought in the big fights, and has wins over great fighters. Cub and I are the type of fighters that always want to finish the fight. We are not afraid to go for the finish. That is what is going to make this a very exciting fight - both of us trying to finish each other every second of the fight. I believe with a win over Cub, and I will be getting very close to a shot at the champ."
-- Charles Oliveira was one of the brightest lightweight prospects in the UFC following an incredible debut of submissions over Darren Elkins and Ultimate Fighter (TUF) winner Efrain Escudero. While his star fell a bit following a rough stretch at 155 pounds, a drop to featherweight has completely reinvigorated his career. "Do Bronx" has gone 2-0 since dropping a weight class and is a current contender for "Submission of the Year" for his calf slicer over Eric Wisely. More impressively, he stopped TUF season 12 winner Jonathan Brookins via anaconda choke in his last bout to quickly rise among the ranks of contenders. The young Brazilian will be taking on veteran Cub Swanson this Saturday night (Sept. 22, 2012) in the opening bout of the UFC 152 main card. Do you agree with his statement to UFC.com that he'll be close to a shot at the champ with an impressive showing?
