Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today (Sept. 17, 2012) released its latest version of the UFC 153 poster for its "Silva vs. Bonnar" pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is scheduled to take place at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Oct. 13, 2012.
It should come as no surprise that UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva has stepped up to take on Stephan Bonnar in a "fun" 205-pound, re-worked main event instead of the originally scheduled Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar "super fight."
Blame motorcycles, no one/nothing else!
Is it a mismatch? The oddsmakers think it's historically lopsided.
Nevertheless, "The American Psycho" will emerge from semi-mixed martial arts (MMA) retirement and attempt do the impossible (and improbable) within three rounds to score the biggest upset in the history of the sport.
He better get training UFC straight away instead of hooking sunny's.
If the co-featured fight of the night looks different, too, well that's because it is no longer Quinton Jackson vs. Glover Teixeira. When "Rampage" had to also withdraw with an injury, the MMA promotion had to scramble to get some more "old school" fighters to step up and salvage what was initially one of the better cards of 2012.
