Good news for all you mixed martial arts (MMA) fans ready to get back into the swing of things.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will return to the pay-per-view (PPV) airwaves this Saturday night (Sept. 22, 2012) with its UFC 152: "Jones vs. Belfort" broadcast, which emanates from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Last weekend, however, all was quiet on the cagefighting front.
Combat sports fans were still able to get their fight fix thanks to a pair of outstanding boxing cards, which took place in a "Sin City" showdown in the later hours of Sept. 15. While Saul "Canelo" Alvarez stopped Josesito Lopez at the MGM Grand Garden Area (Showtime), Sergio Martinez took a twelve-rounder from Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the Thomas & Mack Center (HBO).
