Ladies and gents, I've been quite absent from Mania lately but with good reason. If I haven't been working or spending time with my daughter, I've been training and getting ready to make my 170 pound debut this weekend in Barre, VT. I've got a good relationship with the match maker so it turns out I'm co-main event and two of the fine gentlemen I train with are also showcasing their skills on the same card.

I started this camp at 213 pounds, which was right about the time I realized I really needed to do something to get back into shape. I'm weighing in tonight at 7:00 and I sit here already able to step on the scale. I'm certainly quite hungry and terribly thirsty, but it will all be more than worth it when I leave the cage with my hand raised tomorrow night.

The fights will be at the Barre Auditorium in Barre, VT and the doors open at 5:30. Fights start at 7:00 and looking at the lineup of local talent it looks to be an entertaining event. If any maniacs are close enough to come on down, I recommend making the trip. Tickets are $30 at the door and will be more than worth it.
