Dammit, they've done it again.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has managed to generate interest (from me, anyway) for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 16, which is set to debut on the FX Channel this Friday night (Sept. 14, 2012) featuring heavyweight rivals Shane Carwin vs. Roy Nelson as opposing coaches.
And it looks to be another wild and wacky ride based on this preview video.
Season 16 will be televised every Friday night for 13 consecutive weeks and the eventual season winner will be crowned at the TUF 16 live finale on Sat., Dec. 15 on FX. In addition to the glass trophy, the champion also receives a "six-figure" contract with the UFC.
Along the way, you can expect the usual outbreaks of pranks, alcoholism and blood. Yes, lots of blood. True, the entire premise has a "been there, done that" type of feel to it, but the way "Big Country" manages to troll everyone from the fans to UFC President Dana White, I'm willing to give this one a try.
