Good thing Renzo Gracie can work on short notice so quickly after his last fight.
Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar and Olympic Gold medalist Kurt Angle, who still performs inside the squared circle for TNA iMPACT!, has been asked to put his upcoming commentating duties on hold after Viacom (parent company of Spike TV) informed him it would be a "conflict of interest."
From World Series of Fighting (WSOF) President Ray Sefo (via Bloody Elbow):
"I'm confirming that Kurt won't be doing the commentary due to a conflict of interest with Viacom. I'm told it's just for now, until a few things are sorted out. Renzo Gracie will be replacing Kurt Angle on the commentary team."
The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu master will join longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) commentators Michael Schiavello and Bas Rutten calling the WSOF action on Nov. 3, 2012 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, as part of a special NBC Sports one-off television special.
More on that upcoming event, including some of the fighters expected to compete, here and here.
