Joe Lauzon, who hasn't had a carb boring fight since 2004, submitted Jamie Varner in the third round of their lightweight lowdown on the main card of UFC on Fox 4: "Shogun vs. Vera" last night (Sat., Aug. 4, 2012) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. In doing so, "J-Lau" earned an extra $100K for both "Submission of the Night" and "Fight of the Night" honors for such a thrilling affair, running his career bonus total to 10 since he's been fighting under the Zuffa umbrella dating back to Sept. 2006. He's expensive but it pays to have him on the card, especially considering UFC wanted to put its best foot forward for FOX. Mission accomplished, me thinks.
