Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar has a tough hill to climb.
"The Answer" will not only make his featherweight debut against reigning 145-pound champion Jose Aldo at the UFC 153 pay-per-view (PPV) event on Oct. 13, 2012 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, he'll have to do it in the champ's home turf in Brazil.
The odds are against him, literally.
Aldo opened as a -175 favorite for his upcoming title defense while Edgar is a respectable +145 underdog. In case you just woke up or didn't pay attention to the wire late last night, "Junior" was in need of a new opponent when Erik Koch blew out his knee in training camp and was forced to withdraw.
Find out how it all transpired here.
