why is it now days that fighters at the top can get beat and stay at the top while the up and comers are feed scraps for so long before they get a shot? I'm tired of seeing shoguns name in the head of the class along with others. there are good fighters at the bottom but they feed them to each other for so long they fight for years before they get a headline fight.
I think once you are beat you should be in a match with someone at the bottom to prove that you belong in the top of the ranks. all of this get a shot at the champ and then "wait i almost won" give him another shot. no go to the bottom work back up.
frankie edgar is a prime case for this. how long has he tied up a bunch of crappy fights at 155? come on he was a horrible champ and a boring fighter but yet he has rematch after rematch with the same people while the good 155 guys continue to just beat each other and go no where.
I love the UFC but would love to see this change. lets get some new guys in the rotation and then lets see what happens. enough of "let Jones fight shogun again how about machida" no... how about alexander gustafsson or the other guys that are down there waiting!!!
