Just like the slack-jawed yokels who kicked down the door of a mixed martial arts (MMA) gym in San Antonio -- only to find it populated with a bunch of cage fighters -- a would-be burglar got more than he bargained for after stumbling upon the longtime rapper in his home on Wednesday (Aug. 22, 2012).

Who just so happens to dabble in MMA training with the big guns in Albuquerque.

Born James Todd Smith, the hip-hop artist and Hollywood actor, who resides in the 12000 block of Blairwood Drive in Los Angeles, California, managed to detain his intruder after leaving him with a broken nose and jaw, which required hospitalization.

He's that type of guy..

According to a report from the LA Times, the suspect is a "transient" who "could not immediately be identified" by police. I'm sure having a mangled mug didn't help matters, either, as LL is not exactly a shrimp.
