Strikeforce: "Rousey vs. Kaufman" took place last night (Sat., Aug. 18, 2012) from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California, featuring Ronda Rousey successfully defending her bantamweight championship by finishing Sarah Kaufman in just 54 seconds.

By armbar, of course.

In the co-main event of the evening, Ronaldo Souza finally felt what it's like to knock an opponent out when he slept Derek Brunson 41 seconds into their middleweight contest that may or may not have decided the next contender to Luke Rockhold's throne.

Other action on the card saw Tarec Saffiedine outshine Roger Bowling, Anthony Smith shock and submit Lumumba Sayers, and Ovince St. Preux knock T.J. Cook into next week.

A photo gallery (via US Presswire) is available for your viewing pleasure after the jump. For complete results and blow-by-blow coverage of all the night's action click here.
