On to the next one.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) just finished blowing the doors off the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado, last night (Sat., Aug. 11, 2012) with its UFC 150: "Henderson vs. Edgar 2" event. You can check out all the results right here and here.
The promotion will return to pay-per-view (PPV) this coming Sept. 1 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, with UFC 151: "Jones vs. Henderson," featuring Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones defending his title against the next best challenger, former Pride king Dan Henderson.
The trailer is solid, if a tad underwhelming, and set to the sounds of Lux Aeterna by Clint Mansell. The general theme is Jones is a pound-for-pound great, seemingly destined to go down in history as one of the greatest of all time. But that can all be changed with just one punch.
And who better than "Hendo" with his "H-Bomb" to do it?
Henderson is described as a "destroyer of legends" while footage plays of his knockout of Fedor Emelianenko. That's an interesting angle from the UFC and especially interesting considering how hardcore UFC President Dana White has been in his quest to discredit the "The Last Emperor."
No matter, what's important is we're less than three weeks away from yet another big fight inside the Octagon.
