Alright, its already August 1st, that means its time to start talking fantasy football. That's right, fantasy FOOTBALL, the greatest fantasy sport of them all!!! Last year, we had two leagues, the A League and the B League. There may be unfortunate news regarding the B League, which I will get to. But priorities are priorities so first I must discuss the almighty A League.

The A League will be back for a 3rd Season. In case you forgot, or are new to reading the FFB threads, yours truly, ViolentMike, won the CHAMPIONSHIP the inaugural season and Geno won the championship last season. "Runner Up" Drew lived up to his monicker and came in 2nd place, again. So now that we got the brief history lesson out of the way, lets talk about who is playing this season.

Wait, what???? Kevin's in? And who the fuck is GriffinFan05? GriffinFan05 won the B League Super Bowl last year and has earned his spot in the A League. And to make room for the B League champ, the person with the worst record (or lowest total points if multiple teams are tied with the worst record) is kicked outta the A League to make room for them. Well, yes Kevin did have the worst record, however he will be staying. The reason for this is because we are sadly losing at least 3 of our league mates (4 if Puck no shows to this thread). The three pussies who don't want to play any more are Jay, Dragay and Geno. That means that the A League now has room for at least 2 more members. I have identified 3 possible replacements for these spots. They are Shivan Tiger, magicmike and _______ who was the B League Runner Up. Who was the runner up? GriffinFan doesn't remember and I thiiink it was donkeypunch or JerseyDevil. If you know who this was, please let me know so I can update the fanpost. So it all boils down to this - if Puck does not return, that means that these 3 people will all be in the A League. If Puck does return, we will be holding a league vote where each us will get to vote on the two of them we want to join the A League. Quick history lesson, last year's vote was between Ulf and ANS and Ulf won in a landslide.

Dues: This season, the dues will be $30. We will not be able to use those cunt rags that we used for payment in years past. This year, we are going to have to kick it old school and you will all be mailing me your money. Please mail me a $30 money order or personal check. I don't want to accept cash because I am just envisioning a scenario where the mailmen loses an envelope and I never receive it. That is just going to turn into a finger pointing blame game and someone is going to be out $30. I say we simply avoid that situation all together. Once we have all 12 teams registered, I will be emailing you all my address. Lets please try to get all the dues in before opening kickoff Sept. 5.

Draft: Our draft is being held on Sunday, August 26th at 9 pm ET on Yahoo.

Prizes: We can discuss this in the comments, but my suggestion is:

Champ = $200

Runner Up = $100

Highest Regular Season Points = $60

Rules: The rules are pretty much the same as last year. I did make a few minor changes. If any of you have a major problem with any of the changes, bitch about it in the comments and we'll figure it out.

The changes are:

Passing TD's will now be worth the standard 4 points instead of 6. Last season, the top 5 players were all QB's. We don't need to be skewing their numbers...

Safeties will now be worth 6 points instead of 2. They are so few and far between and awesome that they should be worth more than a turnover.

And lastly, this year we will be using decimal scoring. What's that mean? In the past, 14 rushing yards would equal 1 point, since you get 1 point for every 10 yards rushing. With decimal scoring, 14 rushing yards would give you 1.4 points.

I wanted to add in a bit about trades here too. We will be handling them pretty much the same as last year. When there is a proposed trade, I will create a thread on the league message board so we can approve or vote against the trade. Please remember that the only reason to vote against a trade is because of collusion. You can't vote against a trade because you think it helps a team you are competing with in your division. If 7 people vote against the trade, I will veto the deal.

Alright, now that we got that all out of the way, we can get to the B League. Here is the deal. OJR is stepping down as commish and will not even be participating this season. So now, I am in need of someone to step up and commish the B League. The duties of the commissioner are to post the trade vote threads on the league message board, write the weekly recaps, and most importantly - to handle the money. That means that not just anyone can become commish, it really needs to be a trusted regular. If someone ran off with the money, I'd feel responsible... So, if you want to step up and commish the B League, please leave a comment with your email address so that I can get a hold of you.

As of right now, there are 4 people registered for the B League (and invite was sent to all people that participated last year). They are:

That means that there are still 8 openings left for the B League assuming we get a commissioner. If no one steps up, there is a chance that there is no B League this year. I really don't want to have to chase down 12 additional people for money since I already have 11 fags of my own to take care of.
