It's never too early to look past the last one and on to the next one. Indeed, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) may have just shut the door at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and its UFC 149: "Faber vs. Barao" event but the next numbered show is just three weeks away.
UFC 150: "Henderson vs. Edgar 2" will emanate from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado, and feature a lightweight championship showdown pitting titleholder Ben Henderson against former division kingpin Frankie Edgar.
It's a rematch. Of course.
The two first met at UFC 144 on Feb. 25 in Japan, a thrilling 25-minute affair that saw "Bendo" pry the title from Edgar's unforgiving hands. "The Answer" felt he did enough to win the bout and because he went along with giving rematches to B.J. Penn and Gray Maynard after close bouts between them, UFC President Dana White thought it only right to return the favor.
And now they battle. Well, in a few weeks.
