Urijah Faber vs Renan Barao staredown pic from UFC 149 weigh ins

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held its official weigh in event for UFC 149: "Faber vs. Barao" earlier this evening (Fri, July 20, 2012) from inside the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

In case you missed it, full UFC 149 weigh in results and video can be found right here.

Former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) Champion Urijah Faber is once again going after a championship title, this time the interim bantamweight belt created reigning division deity Dominick Cruz went down with a knee injury. His opponent, Renan Barao, is a formidable foe with a long win streak and impressive resume.

It's (almost) go time.

Also squaring up were middleweight sluggers Hector Lombard and Tim Boetsch, who are slated to play a real-life, good ole' fashioned game of Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em robots in the co-featured fight of the night. The winner just may earn himself a title shot, too.

Get a closer look at their staredown in advance of Saturday night's (July 11, 2012) showdown in the "Great White North" after the jump.
