Ian McCall vs John Moraga booked for Aug. 4 at UFC on FOX 4 in Los Angeles

You can't keep a good creep down.

Ian McCall is going to have to start from scratch in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight division, now that he's been paired off against promotion newcomer John Moraga at the upcoming UFC on FOX 4 event from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, on August 4, 2012.

If at first you don't succeed ...

"Uncle Creepy" lost his chance to vie for the 125-pound title opposite Joseph Benavidez after coming up short against Demetrious Johnson in the UFC on FX 3 main event back in June -- just a few months after he fought to a draw against "Mighty Mouse" in Australia.

The good news is, the flyweight division is far from crowded, so a couple of solid wins should get him right back "in the mix," starting next month in "The City of Angels."

Just don't expect Moraga to make it easy.

The Arizona-based submission specialist is 10-1 in his mixed martial arts (MMA) career, with his lone defeat coming against Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 champion John Dodson. He's currently won four in a row, ending three of those wins by way of submission.

A win over the highly-touted McCall would make a major statement for this gritty newcomer.

UFC on FOX 4 will feature the recently announced light heavyweight bout pitting Mauricio Rua vs. Brandon Vera while Ryan Bader vs. Lyoto Machida and Ben Rothwell vs. Travis Browne are also scheduled to live and die in L.A.
