Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has put the finishing touches on its upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) fight card scheduled for the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado tonight (Saturday, August 11, 2012).
UFC 150: "Henderson vs. Edgar 2" will be headlined by a lightweight championship rematch featuring reigning division kingpin Ben Henderson putting his 155-pound strap on the line against former titleholder Frankie Edgar.
The dynamic duo will be joined on the PPV main card by Jake Shields, who will make his 185-pound debut for the promotion against TUF alum Ed Herman. Donald Cerrone will also look to take center stage against Melvin Guillard, while Yushin Okami will loook to "Thunder" past Buddy Roberts with Rousimar Palhares injured.

155 lbs.: Ben Henderson vs. Frankie Edgar (for UFC lightweight title)
Round one: Edgar misses with a head kick early and he lands a short lead right hook. Leg kick from Edgar grazes the cup but they fight on. Another leg kick from Edgar misses and that seems to be a big part of Edgar's strategy early. Left hand scores for Henderson and he fires off a huge leg kick which staggers Edgar. Another huge leg kick wobbles Edgar and Edgar lands a counter right hand. Huge leg kick from Edgar drops Edgar and he tries to transition to a takedown and he pops back to his feet. Those leg kicks from Henderson are downright brutal. Henderson misses with a leg kick and another. Edgar has caught on to Henderson's game, now let's see how he responds. Knee to the body lands for Henderson and Edgar fires back with a right hand and a nice leg kick of his own. Another big leg kick from Henderson but Edgar catches it and scores a takedown. Henderson puts Edgar in a guillotine choke and he's squeezing with everything he's got. Edgar is hanging on and he survives to the end of the first round. 10-9 Henderson
Round two: Another low leg kick from Henderson staggers Edgar and that has got to hurt. Edgar steps in with a left hook but it doesn't affect Henderson. Edgar catches a leg kick and fires off a body kick in response. Axe kick attempt misses from Henderson and Edgar is having trouble finding his range. Brutal leg kick lands for Henderson and Edgar tries to grab it but can't hold on. Big exchange and Edgar drops Henderson with a big right hand! Edgar follows Henderson to the ground and he's got a front head lock. Edgar is thinking about a guillotine choke but Henderson is hanging on for not. Edgar should be swarming with strikes, not trying to choke out Mr. Unsubmittable. This is a mistake IMO. Edgar lets him go and Henderson fires off a front kick. Edgar is bleeding out of his nose and Henderson shoots in for a takedown but Edgar avoids it and has a head lock. Edgar lands a nice right hand as Henderson tries to play games being a grounded opponent. Big body kick lands for Henderson at the end of the round. 10-9 Edgar
Round three: Edgar eats a big kick to get things started. Edgar tries to get inside but Henderson lands a nice knee and a combination. Leg kick from Henderson but Edgar slightly checks it. Edgar throws a nice kick to the body and he blocks a high kick from Henderson. Leg kick lands for Edgar and then another pair of leg kicks in combination. Henderson responds with a huge body kick but Edgar catches it and punches him. Edgar ducks a punch from Henderson and lands to the body. Henderson switches stances and misses with a side kick to the head. Big leg kick scores for Henderson. Body kick connects for Edgar and Henderson scores a right hand. Edgar lands a side kick to the body as time expires. 10-9 Edgar
Round four: Henderson scores with a kick and Edgar catches it but can't finish a takedown. Henderson lands a nice knee to the body. Heavy leg kick from Henderson and Edgar fires back with a leg kick of his own. Henderson attempts a kick but Edgar catches it and takes him down. Henderson misses with a head kick from bottom and Edgar grabs a head lock. Henderson is turtling and Edgar is really working for a choke. I don't know how good of an idea it is to try to choke out Henderson and he gives up on it. Edgar scores a right hand on the counter and Henderson misses lunging in. Leg kick from Edgar and he lands a short straight left jab. Edgar throws a nice hook to the body but Henderson counters with a pair of right hands to the chin. Edgar lunges in but eats another counter. Nice overhand right from Edgar and then a solid leg kick, one of the best he's thrown the whole fight. Combination from Edgar and Henderson tries to throw a jab but Edgar backs him off with another combination. Both men trade big strikes in the final 20 seconds of the round. Henderson gets a little "showboaty" and Edgar throws a big right hand. Edgar catches a kick and throws one of his own to finish the round. 10-9 Edgar
Round five: Edgar scores a nice right hand to get things started. He wants this belt. Edgar presses forward and I think he trips Henderson or Bendo lost his balance. Henderson gets back to his feet and eats a shot to the body. Edgar ducks a punch and attacks to the body and then with a leg kick. Body kick from Henderson and he needs a sense of urgency as this fight is very close. Edgar is continuing to press forward with offense. Good right hand from Edgar and he catches another Henderson kick but misses with a follow-up strike. Big left hand misses for Henderson. Nice left hand scores this time. Edgar just avoids an uppercut and he goes over the top with a right hand after Henderson misses with a leg kick. Edgar gets inside and throws big punches to the body. Nice combination of leg kicks from Edgar staggers Henderson. We've got one minute left and Henderson throws a kick but eats a combination. Edgar is pressing the action and throws a nice punch to the body. Henderson scores a left hand with 30 seconds left and Edgar adjusts his mouthpiece and makes him pay with a big right hand. Edgar slips on a head kick and eats a head kick with 15 seconds left as both men exchange until the horn. 10-9 Edgar
Final Result: Benson Henderson defeats Frankie Edgar via split decision (46-49, 48-47, 48-47)
Main Card Pay-Per-View (PPV):
155 lbs.: Donald Cerrone vs. Melvin Guillard
Round one: Cerrone comes out swinging and Guillard blasts him with a left hook. Guillard is swarming Cerrone and Cerrone is hurting bad. Big punches from Guillard and then an elbow and Cerrone is recovering. Wow! Guillard just misses with a huge left hook and then a right. Head kick from Cerrone staggers Guillard and then a HUGE RIGHT HAND KNOCKS GUILLARD THE FUCK OUT! Wow! Completely out cold!
Final Result: Donald Cerrone defeats Melvin Guillard via knockout at 1:16 of round one
185 lbs.: Jake Shields vs. Ed Herman
Round one: Herman comes out swinging and Herman initiates a clinch. Shields attempts to trip him and Herman pops back to his feet but doesn't back away from the clinch. Herman is grinding in the clinch and this is very confusing. Both men are jockeying for position in the clinch and Shields keeps threatening takedowns and submissions. I don't know why Herman is doing this and now Shields scores a takedown. Awful strategy from Herman. Herman wall walks back to his feet and Shields attempts to take his back but Herman avoids danger. Herman throws a knee to the body. Shields and Herman circle each other along the fence and Herman grabs double underhooks, throwing short knees to the body. They trade punches and knees. I'm stunned that Herman is still clinching. Shields shoots in and very briefly drags Herman to the ground but Herman pops back up along the fence. They grind against each other on the fence until the end of the round. That was really strange. 10-9 Herman
Round two: Herman again closes the distance and pushes Shields into the fence. Awful strategy and Shields scores a takedown. I am baffled by Herman's strategy. Shields is in side control and he's got an arm. Shields is working for a Kimura from side control. Herman is paying the price for his baffling strategy. Shields drops some short elbows and has attempted to mount a couple times but Herman is denying him. The crowd is not feeling this fight. Herman rolls and retains full guard. Short elbows from bottom from Herman and Shields is grinding away. Shields passes to half guard and is dropping some short punches from above. Herman retains guard with 10 seconds left as time expires. 10-9 Shields
Round three: Herman initiates a clinch right away but backs off. They get back to standing and Herman score a takedown from the center of the cage. A huge ground and pound shot just misses and Herman lets him back up. Shields lands a couple nice shots and then a big takedown. After some work, Shields passes to mount and the idiot referee tells him to "work." What do you think he's doing? Shields is hunting for an arm triangle but Herman avoids it and hip escapes into full guard. Shields just rides out the round from top position. 10-9 Shields
Final Result: Jake Shields defeats Ed Herman via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)
185 lbs.: Yushin Okami vs. Buddy Roberts
Round one: Roberts comes out throwing right hands and misses with a head kick. He's being aggressive early and he needs to be. Stick and move strategy from Roberts which is probably what he needs to do. Okami lands a stiff right hand which stops Roberts in his tracks. Left hook lands for Roberts and then a straight left jab. Okami clinches and presses Roberts into the fence, throwing a knee and looking for a takedown. He's got a reverse body lock and he lifts Roberts into the air but can't put him down yet. Okami drags Roberts to the ground and takes his back but Roberts gets out of danger by turning towards him. Roberts throws up an armbar and then an omaplata but Okami avoids danger and he's in Roberts' full guard. Okami passes to half guard and he almost wiggles to full mount but settles for side control. Okami tries to mount but gets denied and he drops a few short punches. Okami passes to mount and postures up dropping punches. Roberts gives up his back and Okami drops huge punches from behind. The punches keep coming and Roberts is just hanging on surviving until the end of the round. He barely makes it. 10-9 Okami
Round two: Okami buckles Roberts but Roberts fires back and rocks Okami. Okami lunges in and presses Roberts into the fence. Okami scores a takedown but Roberts fends him off with a guillotine choke and pops back to his feet. Okami changes levels and scores a takedown. He's on top with three and a half minutes left and he quickly passes to full mount and this time he's got over half the round to work. Roberts rolls over and covers up like at the end of the last round. Okami starts dropping punches and Roberts is just flattened up covering up. Okami is pounding away and the ref finally steps in and puts a stop to it.
Final Result: Yushin Okami defeats Buddy Roberts via TKO at 3:05 of round two
145 lbs.: Justin Lawrence vs. Max Holloway
Round one: Both men taking their time to settle in and Lawrence throws a big jumping side kick to get things started. Lunging right hook from Lawrence and he scores again before stepping out of Holloway's range. Holloway sticks a jab as Lawrence tries to throw a left hook. Leg kick from Holloway and Lawrence briefly catches it before backing fof. Both men trade hooks and Holloway lands a kick to the junk. Lawrence is bleeding a bit from something as we hit the midway point. Spinning wheel kick misses for Lawrence. Lawrence tries to close the distance but a combination from Holloway backs him off. Holloway lands a left hook and Lawrence scores a takedown but Holloway works back to his feet. Side kick from Lawrence and he lands a huge right hand to Holloway's chin but Holloway connects with a knee simultaneously. Big combination from Lawrence scores and then he throws a left hook to the body. Another nice right hand from Lawrence. Holloway lands a kick to the groin as time expires. 10-9 Lawrence
Round two: Both men testing the waters with punches early and Lawrence throws out his side kick again at the end fo the first minute. Leg kick connects for Lawrence and so does a left hook. Spinning back fist from Lawrence grazes Holloway and Holloway connects with a 1-2 combination. Lawrence is looking for a stepping-in overhand right but Holloway is not only avoiding it but starting to counter. Takedown attempt from Lawrence is stuffed. Lawrence throws a combination and lands a left in the middle. Holloway is being patient almost to a fault here. Lawrence shoots in from a distance and is stuffed. Holloway scores with a right hand and lands a knee to the body but Lawrence fires back with a left hand. Solid left hand snaps out from Lawrence and Holloway scores a big counter left hand. Holloway lands a big left hand to the body and Lawrence crumples. Lawrence is hurt and Holloway swarms him with a huge flurry of strikes along the fence and the referee intervenes.
Final Result: Max Holloway defeats Justin Lawrence via TKO at 4:49 of round two

145 lbs.: Dennis Bermudez vs. Tom Hayden
Round one: Bermudez just misses with a huge winging right hook and he flashes a left jab. Bermudez grabs a single leg and lifts Hayden over his head before dropping him to the canvas. They get back to their feet and Hayden lands a short right hand before shooting in and Bermudez stuffs him easily. Bermudez attempts to rotate and take his back but Hayden rolls into a leg lock. Hayden scores a huge knee and Bermudez is rocked. He immediately scrambles to Bermudez' back. Bermudez turtles and he's out of danger. Hayden attempts an armbar and Bermudez slams him to the ground and now he's on top. Bermudez passes to half guard with one minute left and drops some punches and elbows. Hayden retains full guard. Big jumping front kick cracks Hayden on the chest. Hayden tries to shoot in for a takedown and Bermudez stuffs it and latches on a standing guillotine. He presses Hayden into the fence and Hayden taps out! Terrific finish and resiliency there by Bermudez.
Final Result: Dennis Bermudez defeats Tom Hayden via submission (guillotine choke) at 4:43 of round one
185 lbs.: Jared Hamman vs. Michael Kuiper
Round one: Hamman throws a big inside leg kick early as Kuiper presses forward with punches. Hamman closes the distance with a knee to the body and backs off. Body kick from Hamman and a leg kick. Kuiper throws a punch but Hamman is moving well. Left hook scores for Kuiper and Hamman backs him off with a knee and a nasty outside leg kick. Right hand from Kuiper grazes Hamman and he gets backed off from a combination by Hamman. They clinch and Kuiper scores a takedown from the body lock. Hamman works his way back to his feet and eats a knee. Kuiper attempts a throw but Hamman shuts it down. Big right hand from Kuiper and Hamman is hurt but Kuiper lets him off the hook. Nasty leg kick from Kuiper and Hamman is staggered. Huge right hand from Kuiper and Hamman is hurt. Now Kuiper is swarming and Hamman is getting tagged repeatedly. Both men score big shots and Kuiper blasts him, sending him ot the ground briefly but he gets back up. Hamman is winging big combinatiosn and Kuiper lands a huge pair of hooks that have him wobbly. Hamman is on serious rubbery legs and Kuiper is continuing to press forward. Big left hand from Kuiper and then another. Kuiper and Hamman blast each other with big shots as time expires and Hamman looks like his leg is hurt. 10-9 Kuiper
Round two: Hamman's leg is hurting bad and Kuiper kicks it twice. Kuiper needs to pressure him and he's just sitting back for now. Right hand from Kuiper backs Hamman off and Kuiper scores with a trio of inside leg kicks. Hamman fires back with right hands and Kuiper scores with a pair of right hands of his own. Huge right hand from Kuiper drops Hamman and Hamman works his way back to his feet as the crowd roars. Another big hook hurts Hamman and then another right hand. I don't know how Hamman is standing. Huge right hand drops Hamman and the ref steps in. Hamman's leg is in serious pain as he's clutching it on the ground.
Final Result: Michael Kuiper defeats Jared Hamman via TKO at 2:15 of round two
135 lbs.: Ken Stone vs. Erik Perez
Round one: Stone throws a kick and then a right hand but Perez blasts him with a huge right hand and he faceplants. Perez follows Stone to the ground and drops big punches and Stone is done. The ref steps in and puts a stop to it.
Final Result: Ken Stone defeats Erik Perez via TKO at 0:17 of round one
135 lbs.: Dustin Pague vs. Chico Camus
Round one: Pague opens with a solid lead left hand and misses with a spinning back fist. Big right hand scores from Camus and both men get inside and trade heavy blows. Head kick from Pague but Camus catches it and takes him down. Camus is in Pague's full guard. Pague throws elbows from bottom. Pague puts his legs up and he's got Camus in a triangle choke. Pague has some space here so Camus isn't going to be choked out yet but it's a very perilous situation for Camus. Big elbow from bottom by Pague and then another and Pague gives up on the choke. Now Camus postures up and drops some punches. Now Pague attacks with an omaplata and attempts to sweep Camus but he doesn't roll Camus over enough and he's still stuck on bottom. Camus drops an elbow and Pague has a cut now and Camus finsihes the round with punches from on top. 10-9 Pague
Round two: Camus opens with a kick and Pague catches it taking him down and now he's on top of Camus. Camus easily pops back to his feet and they're back to standing. Camus scores with a quick jab and is utilizing solid movement. Big left hook from Pague an Camus ducks under, scoring a takedown and he's in half guard. Camus passes to side control and Pague retains full guard. Big elbow from bottom for Pague and he's thinking about going for the triangle choke but Camus postures up and drops some punches. Pague finally turtles to get back to his feet as time expires. 10-9 Camus
Round three: Pague immediately shoots in for the takedown off the glove tap and takes Camus' back. He's got a body triangle and Camus turns towards Pague's ankle to avoid danger. Pague has four minutes to hunt for a rear naked choke and we'll see if he can pull it off. Camus explodes and turns into Pague, taking top position and Pague throws big elbows from bottom but there's half the round remaining and Pague has looked completely incapable of sweeping or getting to his feet from off his back. Camus passes to half guard and is looking for the mount. Camus drops some punches and nearly has passed to mount, now he's got it. Pague rolls and gives up his back and Camus is hunting for a rear naked choke. Camus almost gets a one arm rear naked choke but Pague guts it out and throws him off right at the final horn. Camus did more in the second half of that round than Pague did in the first half. 10-9 Camus
Final Result: Chico Camus defeats Dustin Pague via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28)

145 lbs.: Eiji Mitsuoka vs. Nik Lentz
Round one: Lentz quickly closes the distance, clinches and slams Mitsuoka to the ground. Mitsuoka pops back to his feet and Lentz drags him to the ground again. After getting to his feet, Lentz blasts Mitzuoka with a big right hand and then again takes him down. Very strong start from Lentz. Lentz throws some big punches on the ground as Mitzuoka throws an up kick. Lentz passes to side control and attempts to take Mitzuoka's back but he pops to his feet. Lentz has a reverse body lock and he takes Mitsuoka down again. He's got Mitzuoka's back with both hooks in and he's punching away. Mitsuoka is in big trouble. Lentz is pounding away and the ref puts a stop to it. Great debut at 145 pounds for Nik Lentz!
Final Result: Nik Lentz defeats Eiji Mitsuoka via TKO at 3:45 of round one
