Like many of today's top Brazilian fighters, Renan Barao started with very little.

The Nova Uniao fighter, after losing his professional debut, has since gone on an incredible 29 fight unbeaten streak including five straight notable wins after signing with Zuffa.

With a 3-0 record that includes a stoppage victory over top bantamweight Brad Pickett and a dominant decision against Scott Jorgensen, Barao was an easy selection for Urijah Faber's opponent in the main event of UFC 149 when champion Dominick Cruz went down with an injury.

The pious pugilist gets his big shot this Saturday night (July 21, 2012) against "The California Kid" with the UFC interim bantamweight title on the line.

Do you Maniacs think he's got a good shot?
