Strikeforce may not be the promotion it once was but there's still business to take care of tonight (Sat., July 14, 2012) on Showtime. An entire fight card full of fascinating match-ups is all set to pop off from the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon, and it's better than you might think.

Of course, it's entirely possible you don't even know about it thanks to the poor job of promoting it by Zuffa and whoever else is to blame for the lack of marketing.

Still, it's worth checking out. The main event of the evening features talented home grown Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold defending his belt against veteran Army man Tim Kennedy. And both men have gold on the brain.

Rockhold:

"I'm looking forward to this fight. I think it's been a tough fight and I want tough fights. I want the best fights. The belt means a lot to me. It's the symbol of being the champion and it looks good on my shelf, I'm not going to lie."

Kennedy:

"Finally, I get to fight the guy I've wanted to fight for a long time. And there's something big on the line and that's the title. I think it's my title. I think it's been mine since I fought Jacare. Decision didn't go my way but I've been hungry to have an opportunity to get back in there and win it."
