The fans have spoken.
The ratings are in for the latest Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) "Prelims" offering on the FX Channel and they happen to be pretty damn good. Good as in "best ever." Perhaps the sky isn't falling, after all.
MMA Weekly has the numbers:
The strength of the main event filtered down to the preliminary bouts as well, as the UFC 148 Prelims TV ratings on FX registered 1.8 million viewers over its two-hour telecast, a record number of viewers for UFC preliminary bouts on FX. The previous prelims best on FX was UFC 145, which drew 1.6 million viewers.
Viewers tuning in for the UFC 148 preliminary card, which took place live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on July 7, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada, certainly got their fill of mixed martial arts (MMA) action, as every contest scheduled for the FX Channel went the full 15 minutes.
Decisions, decisions.
To see who left UFC 148 a winner be sure to check our "Prelims" results and recap right here. Main card action and post-fight fallout right here.
