Earlier today (June 24, 2012), M-1 Global fans looking for the latest news on their favorite promotion were greeted with quite the announcement when they visited the website.

Fedor Emelianenko had signed a three-fight deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and he would make his debut inside the Octagon against Brock Lesnar.

There's just one problem with that -- it's not true.

Indeed, M-1 Global confirmed with MMAmania.com that the site was hacked today leading to the erroneous report. Which makes sense, considering "The Last Emeperor" just announced his retirement from mixed marital arts (MMA) following a quick knockout victory over Pedro Rizzo.

That's without even mentioning Lesnar's current deal with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and his planned match at SummerSlam on Aug. 19 against Triple H. It's scripted and fake and yadda, yadda but it's a commitment Brock isn't going to be breaking.

He's got five million reasons not to.

So Fedor isn't coming to the UFC, Lesnar isn't coming back and they aren't fighting each other. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
