Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is adding a little lightweight flavor to its upcoming UFC 151 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sept. 1, 2012 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sprinkled into the mix is Danny Castillo vs. Michael Johnson, promotion officials announced late last night.
Castillo (14-4) is riding a three-fight winning streak and is fresh off a unanimous decision win over John Cholish at the UFC on FOX 3 event last month in New Jersey. Johnson (11-6) has also managed to grind out the "W" in his last pair of fights, including an upset of former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) champion Tony Ferguson at the same "Garden State" event.
Who gets into the title hunt and who goes home empty handed?
UFC 151 will feature the return of Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, in his quest to overcome his recent legal troubles at the expense of longtime veteran Dan Henderson. Takeya Mizugaki vs. Jeff Hougland and Dennis Siver vs. Eddie Yagin are also penciled in for the "Sin City" fight card.
