"Spider" man is going to save Batman.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva doesn't want Bruce Wayne to get old. After all, he doesn't have any superpowers, though I would think having billions of dollars and a garage full of bat-toys is pretty super.
Anyway, the Brazilian talks about "saving Batman" via fan fiction:
"It's the best one yet. It's what is gonna save Batman. No (new trilogy). It continues. We've got Superman that has superpowers and doesn't get old. We've got the Hulk that gets mad and turns green. We've got other superheroes. But Batman doesn't have superpowers and he gets old. That is when my story begins. Old Batman."
Silva will have to avoid looking old when he defends his 185-pound title against Chael Sonnen at the UFC 148 pay-per-view (PPV) event next month in Las Vegas. Should "The Spider" retain and eventually retire, could we see him transition to the world of comic books?
