Alright, here's the story. I just recently got myself a personal trainer, trying to get back into that shape I was in years ago. I haven't seriously worked out in a loooooonnnng time. Now I am suffering from the worst case of DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscular Soreness) I've ever had. When I was younger, I remember being sore, I remember pushing through the pain, but this? Wow... WTF is going on here, either I'm way more of a wuss than I used to be or my body is just tore the hell up way more than it used to be. Any suggestions? I don't want to take ibuprofen or any anti-inflammatory because they can reduce your gains. I'm trying to embrace the pain, but fuck this is annoying the shit out of me.
I read a couple news stories online that claimed 2 cups of coffee may reduce pain, I never drink coffee but I damn sure just threw down two cups like it was nothing. Feeling a little high right now... grinding my teeth like I just downed a couple x pills. Pain is still there, coffee sucks.
