Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is headed to the Revel Casino nearly two weeks from now (June 22, 2012) in Atlantic City, New Jersey, as fan-favorite Clay Guida takes on two-time title challenger Gray Maynard in the main event of UFC on FX 4.
There's going to be plenty of great action on the main card, but before all that takes place, one of the most important featherweight contests of the year will be going down as top Japanese contender Hatsu Hioki battles Ricardo Lamas on the prelims.
Hioki, the former Sengoku featherweight champion, has gone 2-0 since entering the UFC in late 2011 and has emerged as a serious title contender after dismantling former IFL standout Bart Palaszewski at UFC 144 in Japan earlier this year.
Lamas has very quietly gone 2-0 since making the cut down to featherweight in current UFC stint. He beat Matt Grice via vicious first round knockout in his debut and then surprisingly submitted Greg Jackson product Cub Swanson at the first ever UFC on Fox show last November.
The prelims on Fuel TV will begin at 6 p.m. eastern time.
