Maybe it's not a broken orbital but that swelling has to give Josh Koscheck flashbacks to UFC 124 and Georges St. Pierre's deadly jab, right?
It's all thanks to Johny Hendricks, who "Kos" fought in the co-main event of last night's (Sat., May 5, 2012) UFC on FOX 3: "Diaz vs. Miller" event from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
It was a competitive contest that went the distance and saw Hendricks emerge victorious via split decision, a judges call Koscheck obviously didn't agree with. The loss drops him to 17-6 and brings him to an interesting point in his mixed martial arts (MMA) career. He's lost twice to the champion in his division, he's 34-years-old, and he seems to be taking more damage each time out to the cage.
Maybe he's got a few good years left in him but it's fair to wonder at this point what the future holds for a guy who first showed up in the UFC as a contestant on the first season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).
Hey, at least his face is still intact this time. So it's not all doom and gloom.
