It's been a bad few weeks for employees of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
UFC President Dana White has been in and out of the hospital because of Meniere's Disease, Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones was arrested for suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), as was featherweight Ross Pearson, and now Octagon girl Arianny Celeste (real name Arianny Lopez) has been arrested, too.
Yes, you read that right. According to the Clark County Police Department, Celeste was arrested on domestic violence charges and held on $3,000 bail, which she has posted. Her hearing is scheduled for Monday, 48 hours after the arrest.
So it looks entirely possible Brittney Palmer will be handling card carrying duties all alone tonight (May 26, 2012) at UFC 146: "Dos Santos vs. Mir" in Las Vegas, Nevada. We're not complaining.
Questions remain, though. Who exactly was the subject of her domestic abuse? She was involved in a relationship with former UFC fighter and Quinton Jackson hanger on Tiki Ghosn at one point, but no word on whether or not he was the victim here.
Anyone think this will signal the end of Celeste's time with the UFC? She's the longest tenured Octagon girl in company history and has survived countless women coming through looking to knock her off her perch as the leading lady of the world's largest fight promotion.
Brittney takin' ova?
