Before yesterday's (Fri., May 25, 2012) UFC 146: "Dos Santos vs. Mir" weigh-in event in Las Vegas, Nevada, there were rumblings that Jason Miller would break a few cameras with how shredded and in shape he is for his fight against C.B. Dollaway tonight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
"Mayhem" furthered this talk by tweeting as much, saying he's in the shape of his life. Of course, we heard something similar before his showdown against Michael Bisping at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 Finale back on Dec. 3, 2011.
So instead of taking his word for it, we went to the photographic evidence to compare his weigh-in at the TUF 14 Finale and UFC 146. And, as you can see above, he certainly looks even more cut up than he did for the Bisping fight. Which is good, too, considering how hard and fast he gassed in that bout before getting pounded into oblivion.
His performance that night was so poor, UFC President Dana White briefly flirted with the idea of letting him go. And this came after an entire season coaching TUF.
But no, he was given another chance and he'll get to prove whether or not he's up to the task tonight in "Sin City." By his own admission, this fight will prove whether or not he belongs with the world's largest fight promotion. He's even taken this one step further by saying he'll retire from the sport altogether if he loses tonight.
Stay tuned.
