For fans of mixed martial arts, this past week has been a slow crawl of steadily rising anticipation for tonight's "Dos Santos vs. Mir" event, going down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

UFC 146 will feature a heavyweight championship bout pitting titleholder Junior dos Santos putting his 265-pound gold on the line against former multiple time division kingpin, Frank Mir.
