You've seen the abbreviated version from late last night and now we've got a second helping of new highlights from Tuesday's UFC on FUEL TV 3: "Korean Zombie vs. Poirier" main event featuring Chan Sung Jung vs. Dustin Poirier, which also includes commentary from ringside announcers Jon Anik and Kenny Florian.
"The Korean Zombie" earned an extra $80,000 for his efforts, bringing home both the "Submission of the Night" and "Fight of the Night" awards. This was arguably the performance of his career and may very well have earned him a featherweight championship fight against the winner of the Jose Aldo vs. Erik Koch showdown taking place at UFC 149 on July 21 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Our own Brian Hemminger with the live play-by-play:
They exchange early and Jung lands a massive uppercut followed by a huge knee which hurts Poirier. Diamond dives for a takedown and Zombie stuffs it, latching onto a D'Arce choke on the ground and Dustin is in huge trouble! Poirier doesn't tap out and he goes unconscious! Wow! What a fight!
After reportedly locking up a future title shot with the win, Jung says he wants to get his crack at the 145-pound crown before the year is out.
