This weekend in Northern VT there will be a good amount of combat sport action. Saturday morning is the VT Open Grappling Championship, and that evening will be some amateur MMA, submission grappling, and Muay Thai action with Gym Wars VI being put on by UFAI Grappling.

I understand this is far under the radar for most of you Maniacs, but I do have a reason for posting it. I'll be wrapping hands and cornering for two of the fighters on the card.

Brian Roderick will be making his second entry into MMA competition and is looking to put a W on his record as he currently stands at 0-0-1 due to an accidental groin shot resulting in a NC in his debut. He is rematching his first opponent so they'll both get closure.

I'll also be cornering Brett Trahan as he looks to improve his record to 4-1. His only loss came in his debut, and he's won all three since with two coming by way of submission.
