WWE and MMA

With Brock's recent return and fight in the WWE, many MMA websites have been covering the event, much to the disappointment of some MMA fans. MMA fans are saying WWE related news has no place on MMA websites, MMA is real, WWE is fake, and scripted so the two have nothing in common. While this is all true, I don't see why so many MMA fans have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to some WWE coverage. One argument often used by MMA fans is that it might confuse the people and blur the lines between MMA and WWE, this really isn't a reality, most people are aware of the difference between MMA and WWE, how many people have you bumped into thinking that both are one in the same? How many people have you bumped into who now have this perception due to MMA coverage of the WWE?

Secondly, something these MMA fans need to realise is that many current MMA fans WERE/ARE wrestling WWE fans. Many current MMA fans I would say were from the WWF Attitude Generation era, such as myself, in fact I would even say the attitude era of the WWF is what caused a lot of fans to eventually go into MMA, because a lot of what we see in MMA in terms of it's realism, no holds barred, and it's nitty gritty sutff was very comparable to the attitude era, yes, a none wwf mma fan won't understand this.

There's no need to fear or be worried about slight MMA coverage of WWE, people know the difference, and many people are a fan of BOTH.
