TUF 15 episode six saw Urijah Faber's (R) team notch the win to give them the lead in the competition over Dominick Cruz (L) and his group of MMA fighters.
This week's episode of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 15 saw Chris Tickle finally have to face the music and represent "Team Cruz" inside the cage, as he took on "Team Faber's" Joe Proctor in the sixth episode of the season last night (April 13, 2012) on FX.
For the majority of the season, Tickle has appeared to be the weak link on his team and a constant sore spot for his coaches.
After another standard, awkward verbal sparring session between coaches Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber, Tickle and Proctor hit the scales, made weight, stared each other down (while smelling each other's breath) and got ready for battle.
When the dust settled, it was Proctor who emerged with his hand raised, after sinking in a deep rear-naked choke and forcing Tickle to tap his UFC dreams away. We can expect the drama to escalate rapidly now as "Team Faber" has taken the lead in the competition.
Hopefully.
After the jump, we'll look at the TUF 15 episode six post-fight power rankings:
Again, most things are the same, outside of the two fighters who competed this week, as there was not a lot of external drama or excitement.
With that said, I have to dock Mike Rio one spot for his continued and constant whining. I have a hard time knocking him down any farther than that, but there has to be some residuals for him being a little bit of a "drama queen."
(Note: The numbers in parenthesis indicate each fighter's ranking from the previous week.)
1) Justin Lawrence (1)
2) Al Iaquinta (2)
3) Sam Sicilia (3)
4) Joe Proctor (4)
5) James Vick (5)
6) Michael Chiesa (6)
7) Vinc Pinchel (8)
8) Mike Rio (7)
9) John Cofer (9)
10) Chris Saunders (11)
11) Andy Ogle (12)
Chris Tickle (RIP)
Next week, John Cofer will step inside the cage to represent "Team Faber" against Vinc Pinchel as he attempts to get a win for "Team Cruz" to once again even the score.
Things just keep ramping up and the action continues to mount as TUF 15 rolls on through another week of MMA fury.
