So when Randy Couture returned to the UFC and defeated Champion Tim Sylvia And Gabriel Gonzaga, It was widely concidered that the pound for pound best fighter in the world was pride fc heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko, who was riding a 23 fight win streak.
He had dominated every opponent put infront of him such as Mirko Cro Cop and Antonio Nogueira, the only loss in his career at that point in time was a cut stoppage back in the year 2000. Randy Coture on the other had just come out of retirement at age of 43 to challange Tim Sylvia for the title, He shocked the world after defeating Sylvia by a unanimous decision and also went on to defeat Gonzaga by TKO in round 3.
If these to were to have met at this point in time, it could have been the biggest fight in UFC history.
Now what would have happened.
Both being small heavyweights they would move at a fast pace, Coture being the more patient one as he is the one being stalked, Fedor would explode with a combination which will only lead into a clinch from which coture would put fedor on the cage and try to keep him there. Fedor would use his superior strength to throw couture off. Coture uses his good head movement to come in and out with his boxing. As Coture comes in he is clipped by a hook from fedor which sends him to the mat, Fedor pounces to finish him off with some ground strikes or hammerfists.
Fedor by TKO round 1
How do you have it maniacs?
