The Calm before the Storm

For those UFC fans getting a little stir crazy with the break in action, don't worry you won't have to wait much longer.

The UFC is currently in the midst of one of it's longest dry spells in recent memory. It's last event, UFC on FX 2 Alves vs. Kampmann, back on March 2 was the only UFC event in the month of March. Now that March is over, we have to wait an addition two weeks, until UFC on Fuel TV 2 Gustafsson vs. Silva hit our screens on April 14, to get our fix. After the long break, however, the action will slowly increase until it hits a fever pitch.

One week after it's return on April 14, the UFC has a blockbuster PPV, UFC 145: Jones vs. Evans on April 21, to get us Manaics back in the swing of things. After April the UFC events will start coming at a rapid pace. In May there will be 3 UFC events, capping the month with an all heavyweight main card at UFC 146 Dos Santos vs. Overeem on May 26. In June there will be 4 more UFC events for us to sink our teeths into, concluding with UFC 147 and the long awaited rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen at Joao Havelange Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on June 23.
