garcia grice
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently announced a featherweight free-for-all between Leonard Garcia vs. Matt Grice, penciled in for the upcoming event on June 8, 2012, at a time and place to be determined.
UFC on FX 3, the promotion's third trip to the airwaves of the FOX sister-station, won't have a place to call home until the location and venue are determined by Harley-Davidson's Hometown Throwdown contest in the very near future.
Garcia (15-8) needs a win -- badly. He's dropped three of his last four bouts including two straight and his only win during that horrific stretch was a controversial split decision win over Nam Phan, one that was avenged at UFC 136 last October.
Time for the "Bad Boy" to have a good performance.
Standing in his way will be Grice (14-4). "The Real One" was riding a four fight win streak until he made his Octagon return last June, where he was blown to bits by Ricardo Lamas at UFC on Versus 4. Expect him to try to wash that bad taste from his mouth at the expense of Garcia.
Should be fireworks.
UFC on FX 3 is also expected to feature a flyweight tournament rematch that pits Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall, as well as two exciting welterweight bouts between Mike Pierce vs. Carlos Eduardo Rocha and Mike Pyle vs. Josh Neer.
