Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran and Elite XC sideshow, Kimbo Slice, was recently back in boxing action, taking on Brian Green at "Fight Night" from the O'Reilly Family Event Center in Springfield, Mo., last night (March 24, 2012).
Heading into the heavyweight showdown, Slice, 38, was perfect (3-0) inside the squared circle with two knockouts and a unanimous decision over suspect competition. Green, making his professional boxing debut after an adequate career as a mixed martial arts (MMA) Middleweight (185 pounds), certainly was not a huge step up in competition.
Nonetheless, he apparently gave the former The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 12 participant everything he could handle for the first three rounds before getting his lights turned out in the fourth and final frame.
Green was clearly exhausted in the video above as the final seconds ticked off the clock. And by all accounts, all he had to do was survive the last round to score the upset. He clearly didn't, with Slice connecting with a fight-ending uppercut essentially at the buzzer to extend his win streak.
That sound you heard is Jared "$kala" Shaw exhaling in relief -- his mini Miami money train lives to fight another day.
