Shortly after Peyton Manning finalized talks with his old buddy John Elway to become the next quarterback of the Denver Broncos, plans were put in place to ship Tim Tebow out of town.
Sure, he led the team to the playoffs last year, even defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wildcard Round. But he was never fully accepted by the front office in Denver, least of all Elway, and when it became a very real possibility that Manning would come to town, the writing was on the wall. It was only a matter of where, when and who he would be traded to.
As it turns out, the answers are New York, today and the J-E-T-S, JETS! JETS! JETS!
Yes, Mark Sanchez now has competition for the starting quarterback spot, Rex Ryan has yet another headache to deal with, the New York media are gearing up for war, the Post is salivating at the headline possibilities and Jets fans are shaking their collective heads in disgust.
New York parted with a fourth round pick to make the deal happen.
So let's hear it, Maniacs. What do you think of Tim Tebow donning the green and white?
