Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is headed back up to the Great White North.
That's because the promotion recently announced a press conference for next Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Flames Center in downtown Calgary, Alberta. A "special announcement" has been teased.
That's likely just the announcement that UFC 149 is coming to the Scotiabank Saddledome for an event on July 21. The main event of that show could also be revealed.
In attendance at the press conference will be UFC President Dana White and Director of Canadian Operations Tom Wright. It's free to attend, open to the public and will begin at 2 p.m. ET.
To date, the UFC has gone to Canada eight times but this will be the first time they've stormed Calgary.
