"I was with Strikeforce from the very beginning. And they've been good to me. I think they took a lot away when they said we were all going (to the UFC). If all those guys have gone over there, eventually we're going, obviously, we're the last two, we're in the finals of the tournament. We're going to get our chance in the UFC so it kind of takes a little bit of the ... there's no surprise to it. We're going. It doesn't matter if it's now or in six months, I've got some business to take care of with Josh. If I can finish with the belt that has Fedor's name on it and 'Bigfoot' and Josh Barnett and all those guys, that's a huge accomplishment for me, for a guy who's only been fighting for two and a half years now."

One of the lone bright spots in Strikeforce's heavyweight division, Daniel Cormier, talks about his inevitable move to the UFC once he takes care of the business at hand. That business would be a heavyweight grand prix final bout against Josh Barnett, which is scheduled for May 19, 2012, in California. Win or lose, "DC" is headed for the Octagon, but his vision while certainly not tunneled, is focused primarily on winning the tournament and gaining the prestige that goes with it. Anyone think Cormier will be take Barnett out before making some serious noise in the UFC?
