UFC on FX 2: "Alves vs. Kampmann" goes down tomorrow night (March 2, 2012) from the Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia, featuring a welterweight showdown pitting Thiago Alves against Danish striker Martin Kampmann.
"The Hitman" promises not to get sucked into another slugfest this time out:
"He's got good combinations, he's real good standing. I think he's definitely technical as well and it's going to make for a great fight. I'm going to try to pick him apart, I'm going to stay away from those bombs. Sometimes I have a habit to start slugging out a little bit but not in this fight, I'm going to pick him apart."
"The Pitbull," meanwhile, expects to get blitzed with takedowns once he gets his hands off:
"I think he's going to test his striking skills at first and everything but definitely, as soon as he gets hit, he's going to shoot for a takedown. I've found the old 'Pitbull' that was sleeping inside of me. But now he's out there, he's hungry and he can't wait to perform in Sydney."
How is the fight really going to play out, Maniacs? And who wins?
