The HW belt!

When Junior and Overeem fight... Who do you have winning and how? And please base it upon stat's and actual skills the fighters posess.. Not bias:-) I see Reem winning by TKO in round 3. It seens Junior's pace slows in later round's, and I see that a key to Reem's success. I believe Reem's best bet it to pace himself, keep distance and throw more kick and knees. If Reem let's Junior wear-out and slow; he could take advantage of it and pour on the power shot's later. Plus; if Junior decides to try using wrestling... Reem does have stroug guillotines and a impressive BJJ attack when needed. THOUGHTS**

I'm sorry I don't have stats.

But, If Reem got tired against Werdum, I see him getting tired against JDS.

Now, count up your crimes!

True

But; it seems that Reem didn’t take that fight seriously.. Or he just wasted energy. But that is a good point. Depends on Juniors gameplan as well.

Jon Jones and Anderson Silva are top 2 p4p.

I'm not a Overeem fan due to how disrespectful he can be to women and other fighters.

But to be honest he’s slowly growing on me because he’s done nothing but win lately and he was nice to Brock Lesnar after that fight. But I do look forward to this fight and to see who the best of the best really is, both guys deserve this chance.

Now, count up your crimes!

I see...

Am I the only one who suspects the possibility of Golden Glory; trying to get Overeem by this while deal with assault and etc..?

Jon Jones and Anderson Silva are top 2 p4p.

JDS dec.

Kenny Florian is 0-3 in title fights. I am 0-0 in title fights. MMA maths mean I'm better than Florian!

Junior punches way too fast for Overeem, I see Junior getting a first or second round KO/TKO. To win Alistair would have to work some leg kicks or tie Junior up and give some knees to the body but Junior is very good at separating and keeping his distance.

True

But Dos Santos usually throws hook’s or uppercuts. Reem could counter with straight punches and damage the legs and body with kicks.

Jon Jones and Anderson Silva are top 2 p4p.

JDS was showing his improvement by utilizing the Jab during the Shane Carwin fight

I say he possible can even take Reem down if the fight gets to deep waters. I’m just a Junior fan I never predicted against him since he’s been in the UFC.

True

But Carwins striking compared to Reem’s is pretty different. Reem is a K-1 level striker and much quicker than Carwin. JDS basically had a slow moving target when fighting Carwin. Reem is mich quicket and would be much harder to hit.

Jon Jones and Anderson Silva are top 2 p4p.

jds will win, jds throws combos and his boxing works well for mma (as in having small gloves), overeem throws single shots, when his opponents throw strikes he uses his arms and gloves to guard, which as we know isnt as easy in mma because of the small gloves, overeem only throws singles ans doesn’t really throw combinations, so basically this is why jds will win

I

I agree. But my thoughts are that Reem will cover up and use the clinch and tire JDS out; to tire him and stop his use of combos.

Jon Jones and Anderson Silva are top 2 p4p.

This is true, in pure boxing form, JDS is better. Reem uses Muay Thai to devastating effect though. You are not acknowledging the clinch as a factor in the striking game. No way JDS does well if Reem gets a plumb on him.

JDS is going to have to utilize takedown attempts to win this fight I think. If he does not find a way to throw Reem’s rhythm off, he is going to be in trouble. JDS is an excellent striker but Reem is going to have a huge size and strength advantage as well as a better overall striking game. There is no defense to an uberknee. There is no blocking it, and no absorbing it. If it connects, you are in huge trouble. JDS can not allow himself to get in the clinch. I think JDS has to stick and move, utilizing his speed and the jab while using the aforementioned TD attempts.

I think if JDS can get into the later rounds like 4 and 5, he will have a great chance of winning, since Reem is well known for burning out well before that. Carrying that much muscle has its liabilities. Reem has to use his size and strength to get inside on JDS and clinch. There he can put his weight on him and throw his devastating strikes. If he can do this, JDS will not make it out of the first round. I think this could end up being one of the all time greatest fights in UFC history.

tough to call, but I'm rooting for JDS

I think he’s one of the nicest guys in the sport and I wish him a long and prosperous reign. That said, I have been wanting to see this fight for a long time, before either of these guys was even being talked about as a top UFC contender, I was thinking this would be the most exciting matchup that a UFC/SF merger could offer us.
