Thanks thunder

wolfie you only scored 43 points despite the very good break downs of the fights you have done. Anyway, I am sure you will improve. Choro has also been working up the ladder

They’re having a competitive season

I guess being level on points with me was the final straw

It’s been a good run buddy but your time as a trash talking elite picker is well and truly over for you.

Money Pool Season 6 begins 30th December.
ViolentMike, DarksideDrew and Yan will all fail.
On 30th December the Pain Train shall disband.

This was bad event for me overall which is frustrating

I 7 of 11 winners right is find, but after two events in a row going 9 of 10, I will have to keep doing the research…

Picking Nelson was more a fan thing, even thought I thought as a Analyst that Werdum would take it.

I thought Jorgensen was better than he really is.

I didn’t expect Kuiper to make that mistake at the end and let him recover. I knew he had power and when he rocked him, my third round TKO looked like it was gonna happen.

Everyone knows the Diaz/Condit situation. I had Diaz picked. Oh well.

I was too busy eating a cheese burger out of Roy’s beard to pick fights correctly. Next time, ill listen to The Pride
I will stand as Starr788’s personal bodyguard for the next two weeks. If anyone has a problem with him, they have a problem with me. Expect me to fully uphold my end of this agreement

Can't knock Jorgenson. He was out gunned.

that one was really an easy pick... so was diaz for me..lol.... I mean,,, who knows?

One thing I always try to do is give Good coaches favoritism and fighters that train with Champions favoritism…. I just couldnt get it right with Jackson’s camp on my last 4 moneypool picks every time I zigged, he zagged.

McRad needs to step back :)

by MrGrapplefan on Feb 6, 2012 7:37 AM EST via mobile reply actions

I ll tell you man

had potential for very high score, got 0 points for three of the fights. Could have been worse to I guess, Bruce Leroy got robbed which worked in my favor. Mind you I had Marinez over riddle which I thought was a tremendously bad decision by the judges. Matt Riddle may be the biggest can in the UFC besides Brandon Vera and I thought Martinez lit him up in the first two rounds. Thie next event could be a problem, I know very few of the fighters on the card.

McRad :)

by HEELHOOK on Feb 6, 2012 9:34 AM EST up reply actions

I had Martinez too which pisses me off because he got robbed first of all and he was a big underdog

I got points on Figueroa and Kos that were gifts. I knew it was a mistake not to pick karate guy by KO and not picking the Poirer sub was stupid.

Same deal with the undercard next event. I would hope for luck but I don’t pick well with unknowns. Usually an embarrassment. Good luck anyway.

5-2, undefeated and undisputed, beat me ... if you can.

by grapplefan on Feb 6, 2012 11:06 AM EST up reply actions

good luck to you to man,

I didnt even pick karate guy. kos’s fight was kinda close but figuera was def a gift.

by HEELHOOK on Feb 6, 2012 12:18 PM EST up reply actions

I got my clocked cleaned on this UFC 143...

experimented with 4way parlay round robin -700…. had 10 picks minus Poirier fight n werdum fight. I got 6 out of 10… I really needed Diaz and Caceres to win…. I don’t feel bad about those picks especially Caceres… I knew he was the better fighter and he was number #5 on my top ten list to win along with Barao being number #2 I had Diaz #1. I based the diaz decision because of the Cerrone Vs Nate Diaz Fight Outcome… I underestimated Jacksons camp at the wrong time again.. I have even more respect for Jackson camp now than I did before as a coach…. just.. fuckin brilliant… last 4 fights I can’t get it right with Jackson fighters involved

by THORAZINE on Feb 7, 2012 8:50 PM EST up reply actions

had 5 parlays containing a mix of

Barao, Herman, Poirer, Thompson, Kos, Diaz. Too many with Diaz in unfortunately and lost half my investment. Bad planning.

My underdog special nearly come in; caceres, martinez, kuiper (who is the only one who came up short) = +2000.

5-2, undefeated and undisputed, beat me ... if you can.

by grapplefan on Feb 8, 2012 12:14 PM EST up reply actions

forgot.. I did pick nelson... so 6 out of 10

I feel okay about my diaz and caceres picks, starks and nelson were a bust imo. …. Im going to be using 2way round robins this time around, maybe putting 3 picks in at a time. It will lessen my risk as well as profit, i just want to be steady without large fluctuations unless I hit a really good card the payout will be good just not the home run. There isnt a lot of good info involving roundrobins with boxing or MMA, just football so a lot of this RR betting for me is learning by trial and error. In my 4 way RR parlay I needed one more fighter to win to come out close to even. Winning all 10 would’ve paid 8,300. I was sure I was going to hit at least 7 out of 10… oops… I had a ridiculous 211 bets at $5 each.

-700 is my biggest loss to date..I was either winning or breaking even for 8UFCs until this one, if I did a 2way round robin I would’ve come out closer to even with 6 out of 10 picks.

It is changing for next season back to online so everyone has more access.

The next season starts in 5 events, just like this pool, so you have time to sort the details.

would love to come to the money pool.

problem with that is that I wouldnt even be in the top 10. It would be like giving u guys free money. I love money games, Im a golfer, everything we do has money on it. That said, I would have to feel as though I actually had a shot to win some back in order to put some up.

You have a shot to win your money back every event.

I think in the 3 seasons the money pool has run with paying event winners, only two guys have won more than one event during the regular season, so there are typically around 10 people getting paid every season. Hell the one season, the guy in second to last place won the event.

And like ST said. It is $20. Buy one less drink the next 4 times you go out, lol.

It wasn't meant as an insult

I played the first big season of the money pool. Did really well, but finished out of the final money. I played last season in a free version and just didn’t care. Now that I am back, I am doing well again.

For me the incentive is the money and makes me think harder on the fights.

most of us are available by e-mail and on Facebook

if you need to put faces with the names, go to the unmask thread by Scottidog.

jay runs the money portion and has done a stand-out job. Next season will be through a digital site, so no one will hold the actual cash. It will all be online transactions if that makes you feel more comfortable.

Take it from free pool alumni

ItalianStallion54, Rolandando, Phasebook, we are having fun on the money pool. Rolandando is guaranteed $20 for next season for winning an event and Stallion is in contention to finish at top 10.

As for me, being tied with NNR and just 10 points below Agar are already big accomplishments.

Hopefully you guys will join next season :)

Professional sig bet record: 7-8-1

The feast is over for Nick Diaz. No longer will he dine on mediocre fighters from lesser promotions. With a future promising fights against GSP, Condit, Fitch, Kos, MacDonald, Ellenberger, Alves, Hendricks and Sanchez, you probably should retire. Don’t be scared, Homie.

Thanks Ulf

More will be joining based on the messages I have been getting. I am sure MrGrapplefan, McRad and marcbj will try next season’s money pool.

I always feel at least one of the underdogs will win, so I had to pick one of them.

Figured Poirer was a lock, Koshchek was gonna be a toughie but fiured Matt Brown was the most likely to lose. Shouldn’t have bothered and woulda won this event. Can’t complain though, 77 is my highest ever score, back to 30s next event!

Kenny Florian is 0-3 in title fights. I am 0-0 in title fights. MMA maths mean I'm better than Florian!
